My favourite...eyeliner!

We all have that product when we find it we can never be without it...well I have found my eyeliner!
If this was discontinued I think I would cry...then go out and buy a lifetime supply!
The great thing about this product is the price it's only £6.29 plus boots and superdrug always have special offers on!!
I have this is brown and black and love them both it's so creamy, rich in pigment and lasted hours and hours!
I wear this all day long (around 10 hours) and it fades
Slightly but it is still looking presentable!
I can't say enough good things about this eyeliner I have nothing bad to say about it!
I Haven't heard much about this in the 'beauty' world!

Have you tried this eyeliner?

Here are some swatches of the brown one...

how to...dye your hair red

So my hair is ever changing...You could see me Monday and by Wednesday it is a completely different colour! But I think I have found 'my' colour! the one I will always go back to...its RED!

Nice picture right...haha its the best one i had of my hair colour!

It has taken a while to figure out what is best to use to maintain the red and also what least damages my hair!
About a year ago I found that perfect dye! but before that I would have to bleach the life out of my hair then put a red dye over it and it would fade within a few washes! my hair was in such bad condition, I am always putting my hair through stress I straigten, blow dry, don't use intenseive conditioner or anything I should be doing and it was beginning to show.

I needed an alternative to bleach...but what?!?!
I searched Google,  searched Youtube, I searched everywhere but just couldn't find what I was looking for. So I braved it to sally's hair and beauty. Where a really lovely sales assistant (the only time I have ever met a nice SA at Sallys!) And she asked what I was after and gave me lots of info on the different dyes. She recommended one by L'Oreal called majicontrast. They came in a few different shades of red a more orange red, a pinky red, a copper red. I went for Red as it was the most intense pure red colour. It worked as a bleach and a red hair dye all in one. She said it would lighten my hair and make it a vibrant lasting red. I didn't hold much hope for it but gave it a go.

You mixed it with creme peroxide and then put it on your hair like any other dye.  And left it on for around 35 minutes.
I was expecting a dark red, an orangey red, nothing like what i got. It was amazing!!! A bright red, no dark roots it was all one colour. and it didn't feel dry or brittle. It felt good.
The colour does fade but that is because I had already bleached my hair and it only faded on the bleached parts of my hair. so if you have fresh unbleached hair this would work even better.
I have used this around 4 times now and it has never failed me. It obviously contains bleach so isn't completely good for your hair but compared to what I was using before it is.
The cheapest I have found it is £6.19 from Ellison's. I am not sure if this is a brand with more than one shop but i got mine from Birmingham, Digbeth. You can get it from sally's but it is around £10.00! You also need a creme peroxide, a mixing bowl and gloves. If you prefer to use a tint brush you can but I find it easier to just uses my hands to apply it.
When doing my roots I start at the front and gradually do my whole head. when that done I run  it down the ends of  my hair and leave it for 20-35 minutes. It comes out a beautiful shade like the above picture!
This works on almost black hair so is pretty amazing stuff!
I am so happy I found it and wanted to spread the word!!

Slightly odd expression on my face but captures the hair colour well!

And this is it when it has faded. Just a slightly more orange tone to it but still vibrant and healthy looking!!

I am in love with this dye and will do a post on what hair care I use soon!!

Maybelline colour tattoo UK

So today my train was cancelled I had 1 hour to kill. I was in central Birmingham which means killing time with shopping...oops! I went to boots looking for lip butters with no luck and then walked past a Superdrug and was drawn inside.
There in front of me was the most exciting display. I wasn't sure if my eyes were deceiving me or my brain was playing an evil evil trick. My heart skipped a beat and I almost screamed with joy stopped myself mid way and made a pathetic squeak...much to the amusement of the people around me i'm sure!
This is a product all of us have been hearing about from the other side of the world!! Now they're finally here, not as many shades as the US but still we get some!
The display i saw had around 6-7 shades.the ones i got a dark grey/black a blue and a purple. It was also 3 for 2 and they were only £4.99 so I got three for £10.00 (give or take 2p obviously haha)
The testers had not even been swatched and there were three lots of tester displays out it was a beautiful sight let me tell you!

So i picked up these beautiful shades...

They are all smooth and creamy and very pigmented. some are matte and others shimmery. I hope they release more colours!

I haven't used them much yet but so far it is love. These certainly won't break the bank lets just hope these don't break my heart!

L'Oreal caress lipstick review

I have seen these lipsticks here and there but no hype or madness surrounding them! They deserve madness they are B-E-Autiful!

(from left to right)
cheeky magenta, dating coral, tempting lilac,  Aphrodite scarlet,  fashionista pink.

fashionista pink is the least pigmented, Its a very pale pink it does show up more on the lips and is nice over a deeper matte lipstick to tone it down.

They leave a glossy sheen to the lips that are smooth and feel moisturized.
Some of these are very pigmented and others are slightly lighter coverage so there will be a colour for everyone.
These will be great for spring/summer as they are so easy to wear and easy to apply if your not near a mirror.
I have been looking forward to the Revlon lip butters being released in the UK and they have a lot to live up to now I've tried out these!

have you tried these yet?

How to...Long lasting red lips

So I love a bright red lip but having to re-apply it while you're out is a pain. You're in a club have to squeeze past leering men to get to the loos, there are half naked sweaty girls spraying perfume and stumbling into you while your at the mirror one slip of that red lipstick and the whole night will be ruined! RUINED! too dramatic?

Well here is how I apply my red lippie to make it last...I'd say this lasted around 6-8 hours and didn't smudge no matter how much Gin you may drink...
so what you will need...
a Red lip liner
a red lip stick
a lip brush
a little bit of patience

So its best to do this with a mirror near by because Well I don't know how you would know your exact lip line...I digress!
OK so take your lip liner and line around your lips make sure its not applied too heavily then fill in your whole lip with the liner. Just a thin layer will do.
Take your lip brush and brush it into your lips, you could use your finger here if you like but a brush is just slightly more accurate. you want to brush it into your lips and warm it up so its nice and embedded onto your lips.
You could make this look subtle and just leave it like this with a slick of gloss or balm but if you want full on glamour (who doesn't?!) you should now take the red lipstick and put a small amount on the brush then work this onto your lips you can do this step as many times as you want. I normally do it twice for a bold bright lip.
It should now look like this...

I used no7 lip liner in fire and Illamasqua Drench lipstick I used the no7 lip brush to blend them.
The key to this is take your time, get the right shape with the liner and blend blend blend!!

I love rocking a red lip how about you?

Vichy Dermablend corrective foundation review

hiya!
so i wanted to do a review on this foundation. It wont be for everybody and I don't think I could wear this everyday all over my face but for when you're having a bad skin day (or year in my case!) this is a life line.
I have worn this all over my face and it gives a very flawless look but i prefer using this more like a concealer on the bad parts of my skin. It is thick and quite runny so spreads great over unsmooth surfaces gigantic huge ugly red throbbing spots!!
I used a scar on my hand to demonstrate how well this covers up...

As you can see it doesn't match the colour of my hand as my hands are the colour of milk...my face has a tad more colour!

Magic...all gone!!
Just a thin layer of this covers up anything!

As well as covering any blemishes or scars this lasts all day long!! It doesn't change colour throughout the day and you can't tell you have any more makeup on than normal if you use this like a concealer!
So with the good there must be some bad right??
Yes this comes in such a poor shade choice! this is the lightest shade and just about matches my skin i got this from boots and there were four shades. It was 3 for 2 so I took a risk and am so glad i did now but if you're paler than me or have deeper skin than around and olive tone you probably won't find a good match.
If you have acne or any scars you would like to cover give this a go!

Illamasqua cream blush SOB

Illamasqua Cream Blusher in the colour SOB.
Its a light lilac pink shade.
I went to Illamasqua counter for a powered metal and they talked me into buying this too as you got a free nail varnish if you brought two products!
I was after a light pink lipstick and i was going to go to MAC for it but this was so beautiful and multi-purpose so really i was saving money...!(any excuse!)

It has a slight oily look to it and when you rub it it does feel a bit greasy, but when you rub it into the skin it melts and looks very slightly glossy/sheeny almost matte.
Here are some pictures with it on my cheeks and lips.(FYI blush pics are hard to get!)

It lasts on my skin all day like no blusher has lasted before!
I really need to buy more of these blushes!
It looks great on the lips with a slick of lip balm too!

Have you tried any of these?

feburary favourites!!

so its march...we've had glorious sunshine and now snow and sleet!! It is so confusing! but at least we had a glimmer of sunshine to push into false tan and getting our skin ready for summer!
so onto my favorites this month...

I have used this since the start of the year and it is love! I have got through half the bottle and i cannot see anything replacing this. In the past i have gone for dewy foundations but they slide off my skin after no time at all but this stays put, I hate re-doing my makeup through the day and with this i do not need to worry! I also can mix it with other foundation to make it more dewy looking or shearer! My holy grail foundation!
natural collection blushers...I have purchased four this month. they are matte and pigmented. they look so natural I just think these are some of the nicest blushes i have ever used. My favorite shade if sweet cheeks.
The nicest smelling spray ever!! it smells like DKNY Delicious the red one. I carry it around in my bag i adore this! I feel i should stock up as its limited edition !

I have used this mascara for about 6 months now. I have also got the new false lash effect one but prefer this version! I layer them both together for the longest most volumised lashes ever!

After my horrible breakout I was after something so strong it would BURN the spots off!! haha! this works wonders! It does make your skin very very dry but if you use this every other night it works best!

So these are my fav's!
hope you enjoyed!!

we're the seven deadly sins...

This tag has been all over Youtube And I thought it would be fun to do a blog post using those questions so here goes...

1. GREED: What is your most inexpensive beauty item? What is your most expensive?

inexpensive that i most use would be my Primark eyelash curlers...they are some of the best I have used! they over took my Shu urmera's for a while I am now in love with my no 7 eyelash curlers that i got with a £5 off voucher so they were about £2.50!!

expensive would be...*thinks*...probably my naked pallete 2! but if you break it down into how much that costs you per eye-shadow it is a bargain really! second would be Chanel vita Lumiere aqua as i don't really love it :( !

2. WRATH: What beauty products do you have a love/hate relationship with? What product has been the hardest to get?

bare minerals... i love it, it makes my skin look glowing and natural. but it doesn't have the coverage i need right now and when i get too hot it makes my face SO itchy! that drives me crazy!
hardest to get was the naked pallete! i think it took me about 3 months to find it in stock somewhere! but it was worth the wait!

3. GLUTTONY: What are your most delicious beauty products?

all of my soap and glory things! they all smell amazing and look gorgeous,,, positively Delicious!

4. SLOTH: What beauty product do you neglect, due to laziness?

eye-shadow primer if i am bothering with eye shadow! I don't have long to get ready for work in the morning and at 5:30am its hard to find the motivation to use anything...haha!

5. PRIDE: What beauty product gives you the most self confidence?

at the moment it would have to be foundation! My skin is spotty and scared and awful! but when my skin is normal it would be mascara! i couldn't live without the stuff!

6. LUST: What attributes do you find most attractive in the opposite sex?

weird question...to make someone laugh is what i find most attractive

7. ENVY: What items would you most like to receive as a gift?

i would love to receive the Nars blush pallete!! i don't have anything by Nars and every time i go to look at the counter its overwhelming and i end up going over to mac!!
